Our Mission
Kids on the Move is dedicated to serving all children who have rehabilitation needs. We help children reach their maximum potential through quality, cost effective rehabilitation therapies at our outpatient clinic, in the home, school or in the community. We recognize the family as central to the rehabilitation process and we work closely with all community resources to ensure a coordinated and integrated program of care.

Kids on the Move was created in response to a need…
Founded in 1995, Kids on the Move was created to fill a void that was left in the medical community when pediatric rehabilitation services were eliminated at an area institution. Kids on the Move (KOM), a program of Rutland Health Services, Inc., is a collaborative partnership of Rutland Regional Medical Center and the Rutland Area Visiting Nurse Association.

As the only pediatric rehabilitation program within a 60-mile radius of Rutland, KOM provides services on site at its Rutland facility, in the homes of the families it serves, through six different school districts in and around Rutland County, and via consultative services to clinics held in Rutland, Brattleboro and Bennington.
